What to bring When traveling with children, take a first aid kit including any medication for chronic problems like allergies. It's easy to forget until the sneezing begins with the return of air-born pollens this time of year!! Avoid "soaking up the sun" especially the first few days. Some experts say any sun is dangerous. Youngsters' skin is sensitive and burns easily. Take hats, a good sun block and some old T-shirts or even long sleeved shirts for the beach. This will help prevent and burning that may cause down time for them on your family vacation. Some sun blocks wash off in water, so make sure to read the labels closely to determine what sun block with best suit the vacation you are taking. Some sun blocks are waterproof. That way you don't have to reapply after each bought in the water! Take recent photos of your children for identification. Some companies offer fingerprints and photos etc., all for a fee. Usually your police department is more than pleased to fingerprint your children and give you the prints for safe keeping, or refer you to a place that does. Simple planning ahead will make your vacation very successful! Take time to make sure these things are accounted for, you won't regret it!
